Tour the Farm - Meet the Animals
Roy and Ruth Klein
Roy Klein, together with his parents and siblings, moved east from South Dakota in l935. They purchased the farm with some help from local family members during those Depression Days. Life was hard, but soon Roy found love with a local girl, Ruth Mengel, and they married September19, l943. During the spring of '06 we lost Roy after he broke his leg and had surgery repairing the damage. It was too much for him and he passed away April 23. March 10, 2009, the family was by Ruth's side as she passed away at the farm. Ruth will always be remembered for her flower gardens and ability to prepare the best meal. Both Roy and Ruth will be missed by their farm family, but their legacy will live on as the the farm grows and prospers.
